Will you join me?

This touched me and is important to me. I hope you feel my heart as I write this.

Last year 2.2 million people turned off their lights in Sydney, Australia for one hour. Corporations and businesses joined in as well. The city went dark for only one hour. THE IMPACT WAS THE EQUIVALENT OF TAKING 48,000 CARS OFF THE ROAD. This year they are doing it again, and inviting the world to join in.

We all want to help the planet. We all want to do something, but get overwhelmed by all the information out there. This step is so simple. One hour. On March 29 at 8 pm your local time turn the lights off for one hour.

This 2007 movement from Australia is becoming global in 2008. You're not being asked to write letters to your local mayors or politicians or picket the businesses or anything. Just tell your friends and neighbors and invite them to participate. Then turn your lights off for an hour. That's all.

I am only person. So are you. Together we are more.
