Tibet... again!

A famous quote, by Edmund Burke (1729-1797, a statesman and a philosopher) goes, "ALL THAT IS NECESSARY FOR THE TRIUMPH OF EVIL IS THAT GOOD MEN DO NOTHING." With China stepping up its rhetoric against that paragon of non-violence and peace, the Dalai Lama, is very painful to stand by and watch. No wonder people are coming together voicing their oppposition. Its not that the Tibetans are the only people being oppressed in the world, but the fact of their tolerance of the Chiness highhandedness, so peacefully, and relatively quietly has garnered them the support of all peace-loving people everywhere.

If this resonates with you, please google the words 'Tibet support petition' and please sign all petitions you can, to pressurize the Chinese government for more humane treatment of the Tibetans.

A quote by the Dalai Lama: "We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety, a hundred years at the very most. During this period we must try to do something useful with our lives. Try to be at peace with yourself and help others share that peace. If you contrubute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the meaning of life."

In peace, and for peace,

Kiki ;-)
