The credit for this post goes to Jennifer Aniston :-)... for her comment on Angelina Jolie :-), made in the last couple of days I think...
What are those two doing here? Well, they're here, because I found this bit of info on MSNBC (Microsoft News) and without going into their saga, I thought it was neat how Jennifer Aniston summed up all she might have felt in one everyday word. Wouldn't it be neat if we all would control our reactive dramas over issues we had no control over to just declare 'Oh, how uncool!' - and no histrionics needed...
Yes, yesterday's blog was about how events around us mirror our inner environment and the only thing to do is to take responsibility for them - why then am I defending a reactive statement such as this one? In answer, I'll say that until we become very evolved, we have to honor the human experience, and 'manage' it in the best way possible, even as we continue to work on ourselves to become SO 'cool' :-), that we can take all 'uncool' things in our stride. What say you :-)?
People are rude? - How uncool!
People betray your trust? - How uncool!
People are sarcastic? angry? invade your space? are unapologetic after causing hurt and pain? - Oh well! How uncool!
This should help to control any small or big explosions, helping us to move away faster to a space from where we can step back, take stock and let go of negativity with greater ease, than if we were to allow ourselves to get embroiled in excessive emotional turbulence created by unchecked anger, resulting in unnecessary emotional trauma. Now that would be 'SO UNCOOL :-)!'
Kiki ;-)
P.S. My request to those who 'borrow' from this blog is to please give adequate credit to the source of the borrowed information - whether me, or books and people I quote from. Thank you.
