The fear of suffering...

"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering

is worse than the suffering itself. And that

no heart has ever suffered when it goes in

search of its dreams."

Creating our destiny

We have no control on the juggernaut called the Law of Attraction, but we can control what we attract. That is always up to us.

Keep your mind and thoughts uncluttered and focused upon what it is you'd like to attract - this is the most important thing of all!

My loving blessings to all!

I'm baaaaack :)

This quote is a wonderful measure of our faith:

"When you come to the edge of all that you know, you must believe in one of two things: There will be earth to stand on or you'll be given wings to fly."

Thank you, President Obama!

Growing up in an era when the US went to, and returned from Vietnam; the cold war between Russia and the Western nations was at its peak and then 'Glasnost' followed; people were dying or being killed as they sneaked over the Berlin Wall, and then it was torn down -- I just stared in shock at the TV screen all those years ago in India, totally incredulous that I would live in a time which would be witness to these 'unimaginable' changes that were not expected, at least in our lifetime. We were all fatalists and felt there were powers stronger than us who controlled the world, and what as a result happened to us! Each time these 'symbols' came crashing down I was just that - incredulous!

Thank you, Spirit, that I learnt over time, about the power of the mind, about our own strength, about positive thought and language, about believing in ourselves and our capacity to bring about whatever positive change we believe in creating.

And so, today, I want to thank Barack Obama, with all my heart, for giving me a dream...to see a nuclear-free world - and this time I won't be incredulous, but KNOW that I and others like me, did it with our minds, our positive intentions and expectations.

This just in, from his speech to 20,000 people in Prague today:

BARACK OBAMA CALLS FOR NUCLEAR-FREE WORLD

U.S. President Barack Obama called for the elimination of nuclear weapons on Sunday, calling them "the most dangerous legacy of the Cold War" during a speech given just hours after North Korea launched a rocket in defiance of international requests not to do so.

Obama said his government would "immediately and aggressively" seek a ban on the testing of nuclear weapons.

"Some argue that the spread of these weapons cannot be checked -- that we are destined to live in a world where more nations and more people possess the ultimate tools of destruction," Obama said to a crowd of more than 20,000 outside the Prague Castle gates.

"This fatalism is a deadly adversary," he said. "For if we believe that the spread of nuclear weapons is inevitable, then we are admitting to ourselves that the use of nuclear weapons is inevitable."

Obama indicated that the United States would host a summit within the next year that would include discussions to reduce and eventually eliminate nuclear weapons.

********************************
Let's join hands, all healers, all well-wishers of the world and the planet, all peoples, all children, all parents, all grandparents - and with our positive intention, expectation, and affirmation support Barack Obama in this new dream, so our future generations live in a safer world!

The Matrix (concluded)...

(Continued - and with gratitude to Ed Spina, author of The Mystic Warrior)

Clearing yourself of negative energies through daily
meditation can provide a direct link to the "ultimate
reality," i.e., the pure consciousness residing within each
of us.

As your negative beliefs are purified through regular
contact with the "light" of your divine nature, unhealthy
emotions, such as fear and anger, will naturally begin to
diminish, and you'll be free to transcend to higher states
of consciousness. You will "download" more of your own true
self, while simultaneously and automatically attracting
others of similar vibration.

Your world will become more synchronistic. You will repel
angry, fearful people, and those who stick around will
become calmer and more centered. You will radiate love. By
simply being in higher consciousness, you will have a
greater effect on the world than the most gifted orators and
political leaders.

The higher your consciousness and energy are vibrating, the
faster your thoughts will manifest. When you align with your
innermost self, you are aligned more closely with the Source
of all creation. At the apex of your individual
consciousness, you are connected with The One. You then have
at your disposal the entire universe to help you manifest
the highest good for all.

In actuality, we are single points of awareness in the
Oneness that is Reality. What we interpret as the physical
world is the projection of this awareness, which is taking
place in the Mind of God. We are, as Shakespeare pointed
out, merely "actors" in a divine play.

When we wake up to this knowledge, the play does not stop.
We are free to act or interact, in bliss and peace,
unattached to the Matrix. We have within us the power to
create "heaven on earth."

In the past several newsletters, I have described various
methods you can use to release fear, eliminate anger, dis-
identify with your emotions, take back your power, listen to
your inner master, and be yourself. The goal of all of these
exercises is the same: to help you escape the Matrix.

To prepare for your escape, please visit:

http://www.EnergyCenterClearing.com/ECC.html

Best wishes,

Ed

I'd like to hear from you. Please let me know if you have a
subject you'd like to explore from a mystic perspective.
I'll try to address it in a future newsletter. Please send

The Matrix (contd) - and how to escape it...

(Continued - and with gratitude to Ed Spina, author of The Mystic Warrior)

Escaping the Matrix is a metaphor for the mystic path to
enlightenment.

The Matrix can be defined as the world that we perceive,
which includes the physical world, as well as higher planes
of emotions and thoughts, which also affect us.

Within the Matrix, are countless fear-based thoughts and
emotions that condition us to accept limitations. We are
taught that we have little power, and what little power we
do have, we are advised to delegate to authority figures and
experts.

Swimming in a sea of negative thoughts, we are prompted to
use our creative ability to imagine even more negative
thoughts. Without introspection, the Matrix gets darker and
more dense.

Anyone who blindly accepts these prevalent, negative
thoughts will have his or her life path dictated by the
Matrix.

But those who recognize that it is our collective thoughts
and beliefs that power the Matrix will recognize the way
out.

When we incarnate on earth, we temporarily forget the higher
truth of who we are. Our life mission is to remember, to
connect with our innermost self, so that we may transcend
the Matrix.

The reality we perceive with our senses is not the true
reality, but merely a small portion of reality, masquerading
as the whole. But, unlike the "alternate reality" that Neo
must extricate himself from, in our "reality," there is no
need to rebel. Rather, our goal should be to transcend. We
want to "be in this world, but not of it."

The outer world is a reflection of our inner thoughts and
beliefs, whether individual or collective, which have been
conditioned by our experience in the Matrix. Consequently,
the Matrix is a learning environment, where we get feedback
on how our thoughts manifest. Thankfully, our negative
thoughts do not (typically) manifest instantaneously.
Otherwise, we would risk the spontaneous destruction of our
world by thinking negative thoughts.

Clearing yourself of negative energies through daily
meditation can provide a direct link to the "ultimate
reality," i.e., the pure consciousness residing within each
of us.

The Matrix (contd)

Continuing from yesterday's post, here is clear and concise explanation of the Matrix, by Ed Spina, a wonderful guide and author:

===========================================================
***** The Mystic Warrior Newsletter *****
December 2008 -- Issue #35
==========================================================
Escaping the Matrix

The Matrix was one of the most popular and thought-provoking
movies of all time. Viewers all over the world were
captivated by the film's primary message: People get into
deep trouble when they mistake what they perceive for
reality. What most viewers do not realize is that prior to
the release of this groundbreaking film, western
intelligence agencies were already using the term "the
Matrix" to describe today's world. This was in contrast to
their work with remote viewers, who would "escape the
matrix" to gather intelligence. Art truly does imitate life.

In the movie, the Matrix is an elaborate Artificial
Intelligence computer simulation that's so captivating that
people mistake it for reality. People perceive they are
walking about and interacting with others, but their
physical bodies are actually submerged in fluid-filled pods,
"plugged into" the Matrix, while their vital life force is
harnessed to power the Matrix.

After Neo (Keanu Reaves) learns the truth, with the help of
Morpheus's (Lawrence Fishburne) training, he is able to
overcome his misconception that the Matrix is reality. Neo
rebels against the machines that create his false reality
and, eventually, he escapes the limitations of the Matrix.
To others, he has developed superhuman abilities, but, "in
reality," he has merely recognized the truth.

Escaping the Matrix is a metaphor for the mystic path to
enlightenment. (To be contd)...

The Matrix - or life as we are experiencing it...and also

...what we can do about it...

This blog is being written to gently remind the readers of what our true reality is, and that by taking small, everyday steps to stay connected with ourselves, and by maintaining or healing (as the case may be) our Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual aspects, we can live wholesome, healthy, meaningful and purposeful lives - where we take responsibility for, and are fully empowered to, taking the best care of ourselves. Whether, then, intentionally or unintentionally, we become guiding lights for those who need the information we have - lighting, in turn, other candles with our light! I have done it - so many have, and I can show you how you can too!

Keep following the blog and take the steps suggested - you won't recognize yourself in less than one year :-)!!!

Let me leave you with Chief Seattle's famous quote, and my comment:

'When you know who you are; when your mission is clear and you burn with the inner fire of unbreakable will; no cold can touch your heart; no deluge can dampen your purpose. You know that you are alive.'

Chief Seattle

********************************

Kiki: How do we know when we're on track to 'being alive'? It is when our head, our heart, and our solar plexus are aligned. (The solar plexus is also known as the third chakra; the seat of empowerment/disempowerment; anger and peace; the area in the body where we hold emotions, is the part between the navel and the point where the ribs curve and meet at the base of the sternum.) When the head and heart are aligned, the solar plexus is calm - if it is not calm, the head and heart are NOT aligned...we are confused, and wanting things to be as they are not.

The reference to the Matrix here is specially to introduce the next few posts, from author Ed Spina's article and excellent description of the Matrix, or the illusory life. (As always, please google names and terms you find in my posts, for further information.)

The fear to change

In my long experience of helping people with personal growth, again and again I have found that the biggest impediment to allowing improvement in their lives is the fear of changing. People are afraid to become 'someone else'--someone unknown to them, and this is very unsettling for most because they fear that the result of change will be finding themselves alone, without company and/or community. People forget that there's no vacuum in nature. When we change, new friends and a new community always emerges which understands and speaks our new language. When we are bold, we set an example to our friends and community. Those that like our example stay in step with us, and new friends and community appear around us -- we are never alone. Rick Nichols sent the following poem from Starhawk to his 'community' of which I'm a part, and very grateful to be so. Please read on:

COMMUNITY:

Somewhere, there are people
to whom we can speak with passion
without having the words
catch in our throats.

Somewhere a circle of hands
will open to receive us,
eyes will light up as we enter,
voices will celebrate with us
whenever we come into our own power.

Community means strength
that joins our strength
to do the work
that needs to be done.

Arms to hold us when we falter.
A circle of healing.
A circle of friends.
Someplace where we can be free.

~ Starhawk

A day or moment will always come...

...when there will be only two choices before us - to chicken out and maintain the status quo, or to take courage in both hands and break from the old mould, which we have outgrown, and which now is only causing constriction and pain by not allowing growth or even air to breathe. Which way will you go that day? Will you choose to fear the unknown and shrivel up and die...or will you risk the unknown, grow wings, and fly?

Jan 13...Be ever aware of your language

I have found again and again that what I say/express emphatically invariably comes true - not talking about declarations and wishes here, but just everyday stuff. I am therefore ever-mindful of the words and language I use, and never use a lie as an excuse. A long time ago a friend shared that she wanted to leave work early and wenrt to her boss and lied that her son was not well. Well, she reached home and that same day her son had a fall, hit himself on the head and died. Go figure!!! - but don't say things you don't want to happen.

Something to think about

I recently came across this quote by the German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer and was struck by HOW MUCH truth most people are in denial about.

"All truth passes through three stages. First it is ridiculed. Second it is violently opposed. Third it is accepted as self evident."

Arthur Schopenhauer

Along with many other issues, the above is also the case with modern day health care issues and healing modalities. It boggles my mind when I think of all those who will sooner pop a pill their poor liver will then have to process, than get information about alternative healing modalities... Oy vey...

Where do we go from here?

Most of us, especially the baby boomers were raised as members of a highly consumptive society, and we considered ourselves fortunate. Our interpretation of a good life was (almost) instant gratification; a high level of material security; a sense of entitlement about having our wishes fulfilled and whims met, until the last decade brought home the results of this over consumption and the result of our choices blew up in our collective face.

So, where do we go from here? Huge efforts are being made by governments and NGOs everywhere to encourage us to reverse the damage, somewhat--or at leastr not add to the mess already created. The only way we can now apply the reverse gear is by aggressively educating ourselves about the various ways and means we can employ to heal our Earth. Be it recycling, curtailing the use of material that enlarges our carbon footprint, buying local, cutting down, cutting down, and cutting down some more of whatever we CAN cut down...there really is a lot we can acieve together. Do some thinking, some research, get involved, do whatever it is you can do, but for God sakes don't pretend nothing's happened, and don't ask later if there was a parade...

Your 'Bucket' List

Do you have one? A 'Bucket' list? If you didn't see the film I should tell you that the 'Bucket List' alludes to making a list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket... for anyone who doesn't know the expression it means before you pass on - leave the planet - get the idea?

Why, if you want to ask me... I'd say, to lead a fuller life...to bring zest into your life, create some joie de vivre...joy of living...

Do I have one? I always have one :-)! Amongst the things on my 'Bucket List' are:

- dance with the dervishes
- visit Ecuador...to spend time in Gary Young's Health Clinic and Essential Oil operations in Vilcabamba (the Valley of Longevity)
- learn enough Spanish to volunteer teaching stints in schools being built by Gary Young for the underprivileged children in Ecuador
- perfect (by my own standards) my Tai Chi
- learn 10 songs to play on the guitar
- get or rent a studio to splash colour on large canvasses, to my heart's content

...and this is just the start :-)!

How about you? What will bring joy and laughter into your heart, a grin to your lips, a light on your face and in your eyes? Think about it - and make that list...Trust me, you'll be glad you did. It'll change your whole perspective!

The size of the 'spark' within you

We all have that SPARK OF LIFE FORCE within us. Different people have different-sized sparks. The more inner work that's done, the larger the size of that spark. How big, or small, is your spark? To get an idea, take a deep breath, e-x-h-a-l-e s-l-o-w-l-y, with the mouth slightly open -- open, because there's a huge rush of negative emotions trapped in stale energy that wants to be expelled from the body...and not too open because that'll dry your mouth up. Do this 3-5 times, which should be sufficient to give you a sense of balance within. Then get a sense of the 'spark of life force' within -- go with the first image you get -- so, how what was the size of this spark? Whatever it ws, chances are you can make it MUCH bigger - because the bigger it is the more balanced you will find your life is, and the more at peace with yourself you will be -- the more fulfilled you will discover your life is becoming.

Are you wondering what you can do to kindle your spark into a gigantic flame? Find your fears, overcome them, connect with your inner world.. way richer than the outer one, and for some help and tips on how to bring all this about check the past issues of this blog. Need more help, please feel free to contact me for more information. Above all, be blessed...

Don't make resolutions...

...SET GOALS instead. Tomorrow is the first Monday of 2009, and most people are going to be back at work. Already feeling inundated with thoughts of work? stress? another year of the same ol' same ol'? If yes, then it's time to ask yourself what you'd like to REALLY have more of in your life. Make a list...write down what you'd like to have accomplished, achieved, gained when December '09 rolls around. Take a few minutes now to think about this and write down how you'd like this year to end for you. Then, just keep the energy that inspired you to make your list alive by placing the list where you will see it everyday. Imagine how it would FEEL to have your list come true and connect often with that feeling. There you go! -- you're on your way to what you'd dearly love to be, do, and have...

Don't underestimate the power of intention, and visualization.

With every good wish for your dreams to come true,

On the second day of 2009

A day comes and goes, and then the next one comes and goes... but if we want our lives to improve and have more quality we just have to change the way we think and do things - slowly, one baby step at a time...

The following beautiful verse was sent on Facebook by one of my Facebook friends which I want to share with everyone.

"Only as high as I reach can I grow,
Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much as I dream can I be."

Think outside the box, read a new self-help book, get a healing session, sign up for a self-growth workshop, have coffee with someone who knows more than you - do whatever calls to you, but do DO SOMETHING. Here's hoping you will...

Your Best Friend

Thanks to Kathy Almond of the Facebook group Louise L. Hay for this poem!

-------------------

My Best Friend

Today I found a friend,
Who knew everything I felt.
Knew my every weakness,
And the problems I've been dealt.
S/he understood my wonders,
And listened to my dreams.
To how I felt about life and love,
And knew what it all means.

Not once was I interrupted,
Or told that I was wrong.
S/he understood what I was going through,
And promised to stay long

I reached out to my friend
To get a bit nearer
And realized that this perfect friend I found
Was nothing but my mirror.

Have fun with your best friend :-)!
